Makeup for Hazel Eyes

Makeup for Hazel Eyes.

Makeup for Hazel Eyes 1
# Makeup for hazel eyes should start with a base coat of a neutral or matte eyeshadow color over the entire eyelid. This will start your makeup colors for hazel eyes. If you are over 30 years of age and have a problem keeping shadows in place, use an eyeshadow primer, like Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Primers help keep your makeup in place and are a must have if your makeup wears out before you do!
Base colors can vary, depending on your skin tone, your age, and your mood. Darker shades work well if you have a darker complexion as do many of the brighter shades. This is not necessarily true for women with lighter complexions. Frosted and jeweled shades often create a color nightmare with your skin tone. They can look heavy or make your skin look sallow.
# Contouring involves applying a darker shade of eyeshadow to the crease of the eye. The crease is located below the brow line but above the lid, in the crease of the eye. A darker, contrasting shade is used and blended into the base color that provides depth to eye color and adds mystery.
When you choose make up for hazel eyes, you should try to fit your makeup to match your present eye color. The colors you'd choose for blue eyes, will vary from the colors you'd choose when your eyes are brown. Many eye shadow's come as a trio of colors. These are great because they're color combination's that give you all three colors you'll need; base, contour, and highlight.
# A light, shimmery color is used on the brow bone to highlight your eyes. A white or champagne is a good choice. Use highlighters on the inner eye open up your eyes and create brightness.
A general rule of thumb is to use lighter matte colors as your base color, darker colors as your contouring color, and the lightest colors as your highlighting color.
# Eyeliner outlines your eyes and provides even more depth. Eyeliner can be applied on the rim of each eyelid or just above and below lash lines. To make your eyes pop even more, apply a darker shade above and below lash lines, and a white eyeliner in the rims of your eyes. This trick pulls out the whites in your eyes, which brightens up your eyes and makes you look wide awake, even if you're tired and low on energy.
Black eyeliners are great for any eye color, but blue liners look good on blue eyes, just as green liners look good on green eyes. Purple liners look good on just about every eye color for a change of pace. Use them! Different liner's create different moods, so use them to reflect your personality.
# Mascara is used to accentuate any eye color. Most women, regardless of eye color, use a black mascara. Black defines your eyes and gives length and fullness to sparse lashes. Choose either a heavy or light application. If you use more than one coat of mascara, be sure to allow it to dry between coats.
The time of day should help you choose how much to wear. Use lighter applications during the day, and heavier applications for night time. Of course, dark brown mascara also works well, especially if your eyes stay brown most of the time, but don't get stuck on just the basics. For a twist, try a glossy mascara or a different colored mascara on the tips of your lashes, or use blue mascara with green lash tips or green mascara with blue lash tips.
If you're feeling a bit crazy, you might also try a pink mascara! Don't be afraid to mix and match in your makeup colors for hazel eyes.
