How To Have Long Lasting Eyeliner

Step 1: Pencil eyeliner
Kohl pencil eyeliners are liable to melt if they get too warm or wet.
To stop this happening, mix charcoal grey or brown eyeshadow powder with water to create an ink, and apply with a thin brush along the lash line. This will give the pencil something to cling to.
Wait a few seconds before applying dark brown or black kohl pencil. Use lots of little movements to get the pencil into the roots of the lashes. Smudge the line with your finger if you want to create a smoky effect. Set the pencil in place by applying a layer of dry eyeshadow powder with a small, flat brush. Finish the eye with a line of eyeshadow along the lower lashes for a sultry, smoky look.
Step 2: Gel eyeliner
Gel eyeliners aren't as soft and smoky as the pencil look but they're long lasting as they're ink based and dry on the skin to form a waterproof line.
Use a thin brush and apply the liner along the roots of the upper eyelashes. This look can work with a thin or thick line.
For extra lasting power, use a small, flat brush and set the gel with a layer of dark eyeshadow powder along the line you have drawn.
If you want to emphasise the eyes further, finish the look by applying a line of the eyeshadow along the roots of the lower lashes.
