How to Apply Eye Shadow as Eyeliner
Eyeliner is a great way to accentuate eyes and make them pop. However, applying eyeliner successfully can sometimes be a challenge.

Liquid eyeliner can smudge too much and pencil eyeliner can look too thick. Using eye shadow as eyeliner on the other hand is a virtually fool proof way to apply eyeliner. Plus, in addition to emphasizing your eyes it even doubles as a way to maximize the use of your make up. Here are a few techniques to get this great and easy to do look.
Step 1. You will need a special flat make up brush to do this technique (see photo). You can get these special flat brushes at most drug store cosmetics, department stores or beauty supply shops.
Step 2. Fill an empty spray bottle with water.
Step 3. Spray some water on the flat make up brush. Take a tissue and wipe off any excess water. You want the brush to be damp, but not dripping water.
Step 4. Using a dark eye shadow (preferably black or brown for an everyday look) dip the damp brush into the pot.
Step 5. Now take the brush and put tip up against the lid of your eye. Look down slightly so your lid is smooth and ready for the eye shadow to be applied to the edge of the lid.
Step 6. Gently tap the eye shadow into a thin line along your lid (see photo). Just gently tap little by little until it forms a nice tight line. Voila! You have a beautifully lined eye.
