How to Apply Makeup for Blue Eyes
Use makeup to enhance your blue eyes. By carefully choosing colors, you can draw attention to your eyes, not the makeup. With good application techniques, you can keep eye makeup in place all day. Follow a few simple steps to transform your blue eyes from ordinary to dramatic.

Select three shades of powdered eyeshadow. Pick dark, medium and light shades of complementary colors. Stick to the violet end of the color spectrum. For example, try dark plum, medium mauve and light lavender.
Brush the dark shade of eyeshadow into the crease of the eyelid. Use the brush to spread the eyeshadow to the skin above and below the crease.
Dab the medium shade of eyeshadow onto the center of the lid. Use a brush to extend the color across the entire lid and blend it at the point where it meets the first shade.
Place the light shade of eyeshadow under your brow. Brush downward to merge it with the other shadows.
Line the eyelids. Try a soft eye pencil. Stick to a smoky gray, khaki gray or taupe color. Draw the line below the lower eyelashes and above the upper eyelashes. Gently rub over the line with a pencil sponge. This will smudge the line and soften the look.
Wear mascara that is consistent with your hair and brow color. This will ensure your lashes don't distract from your blue eyes. For most people, medium or dark brown mascara works best.
