How to Apply Drag Queen Eye Makeup

Everyone has what's called a crease; this is the natural fold in the eye that occurs when open. If you don't have a crease your eyes may seem to disappear under stage lights or in dark settings. This is why we recommend that you use a dark color to create your crease, creating deep set catching eyes that everyone will notice.
*Tip: I find it easier to do both eyes at once that way you can get a more symmetrical look, and it's easier than painting one entire eye and than trying to match it
2. GETTING DOWN TO BUSINESS:
To begin you will need to choose a color as a base, this is the lighter color used over the entire eye, generally white or light cream on most skin tones. Put this color over the entire eye concentrating it in the center of the lid and under the arch of the eyebrow, fade it out around the corners and edges where there is no brow or eye to end the color, blending is key there is nothing that looks worse than solid lines blocking out your eye makeup.
3. Choose a medium dark solid mat color to create the color in your crease. The crease line begins thinner on the inside of the brow bone closest to the nose and extends out thicker and darker across the edge of the eye just next the temple. Using a firm blending brush sweep your color up and away from the natural crease line then across the brow bone from temple to the inside edge of your brow focusing the color in the crease and blending up toward the brow, always leave space between the color and the brow.
4. Using a crease or angled brush etch in a line of black along the crease line and connect with the upper and lower lash lines. Blend into existing color and round to the outside corner of the eye. Sweep light highlighting color across lid and brow bone, BLEND EVENLY!
5. Using a liner pencil or brush draw a solid straight line starting an inch from the inside corner of the upper lid to connect the crease at a approx. a 10 degree angle, fill in with black powder.
6. Line 3/4 of lower lid blending out toward inner corner with an angled brush, set all liner with black powder.
