First you must clean your face well with a cleanser to remove any traces of dirt on your face. If you have dark circles you will need a concealer.
While buying the concealer check to see that you get the colour closest to your skin tone else it will stand out instead of blending well into your skin. First dab on a bit of concealer with your thumb and then blend it in.
Apply kohl to the lower lid of your eye if you want to highlight your eyes. Kohl can make your eyes stand out beautifully. However kohl can easily smudge. So line the applied kohl with eyeliner to seal it in and prevent it from running.
Now apply an eye primer to the lid of the eye. The primer makes the shadow stay smooth and intact without accumulating in the creases.
Now you can apply eyeliner to the upper lid of your eye. Make sure that the eyeliner is of a darker shade than your shadow else it will not stand out.
Take the shade of your choice and apply it evenly with a flat brush on your eyelid.
You can keep to a single tone when you begin with making up your eyes and gradually move on to applying dual tones on your eyes. You can apply a darker tone gradually as you move out from the lid to the outer corners.
